Request of the Member Companies of PHILASURERS for the Continued Validity of Their Respective Clearances Which Expired on 31 July 2020
OCA Circular No. 145-2020 addresses the request from the Philippine Association of Surety Underwriters (PHILASURERS) for an extension of the validity of their clearances, which expired on July 31, 2020. In response to the letter-request of the member companies of the Philippine Association of Surety Underwriters, Incorporated (PHILASURERS) for the extension of the effectivity of their respective clearances (Certificate of Accreditation and Authority) up to 31 December 2020, this Office, in a Memorandum dated 17 August 2020, noted the difficulties being encountered by the member companies in securing clearances from the lower courts nationwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic and recommended that the request be granted.
Acting on the Memorandum dated 17 August 2020, the Honorable Chief Justice Diosdado M. Peralta APPROVED the recommendation that the existing clearances of the member companies of PHILASURERS be recognized as VALID UP TO 31 JANUARY 2021.
