Extension of the Validity of Certificates of Accreditation of Insurance Companies Pursuant to Memorandum Dated 5 May 2021
OCA Circular No. 58-A-2021 extends the validity of Certificates of Accreditation for insurance companies in the Philippines due to difficulties faced in renewing these accreditations amid the COVID-19 pandemic and community quarantine measures. The existing certificates, which were set to expire on January 31, 2021, are now recognized as valid until July 31, 2021. This decision was made following a request from the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association (PIRA, Inc.) and was approved by Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo. The circular serves to ensure the continued operation of insurance companies during these challenging times.
