SUPREME COURT MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 10-13
RECONSTITUTING THE SPORTS COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Section 3, Rule XI (Employee Relations and Services) of the Omnibus Rules Implementing Book V of Executive Order No. 292 and Other Pertinent Civil Service Laws provides:
Sec. 3. Each head of department or agency shall encourage:
(a) . . .
(b) voluntary conduct of employee activities, such as athletics, and such others as may fall into the social, recreational, financial, food production and livelihood categories which are conducive to employee well-being and consistent with the interest of public service.
WHEREAS, a regular Sports Committee was already created in 2006;
WHEREAS, said Committee was not reorganized despite several transitions in the Court's administration;
WHEREAS, sports events or tournaments continue to be held in the Supreme Court; HCDaAS
WHEREAS, there is a need to reconstitute the Sports Committee for an orderly conduct of these sports events or tournaments and other similar activities for the employees' well being.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Sports Committee is hereby reconstituted as follows:

In the performance of its functions, the Sports Committee shall be assisted by a Secretary and an Assistant Secretary, both to be designated by the Chairperson.
The Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Members, Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the Sports Committee shall receive the usual expense allowances.
This Memorandum Order shall take effect upon its issuance this 4th day of March 2013. CIcTAE
