PHILRACOM RESOLUTION NO. 12-15

WHEREAS, the Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom) has the exclusive jurisdiction and control over the conduct of horseracing including the framing and scheduling of races, the construction and safety of horse-racing, the allocation of prizes and the security of racing as provided in Presidential Decree No. 420;

WHEREAS, pursuant to the said mandate, the Philracom finds it necessary to promulgate rules/penalties concerning horses that have not suffered any lameness for a period of one (1) year;

WHEREAS, the following rules, as recommended, upon consultation with the sectors concerned, are proposed:

RESOLVED FURTHER, that letter PR 66 LAME AND INJURED HORSES be, amended further, to read as follows:

PR 66. LAME AND INJURED HORSES

F. The number of occurrences shall revert back to zero if the horse does not suffer from lameness for a period of one (1) year.

NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED by the Philracom Board of Commissioners that the recommendation on guidelines of penalties on successive occurrences regarding lameness on racehorses or the amendment of PR 66 LAME AND INJURED HORSES be ADOPTED so as to read as follows:

PR 66. Lame and Injured Horses. —

RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the Racing Clubs, the Horseowners, Trainers, Jockeys, as well as be published in the Official Gazette and the Kopya for proper guidance and information. CAIHTE
