PROCLAMATION NO. 2258

AUTHORIZING THE CARITAS MANILA TO CONDUCT ITS EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN FROM JANUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1983

WHEREAS, Caritas Manila, is a non-profit socio-civic organization with the objectives of extending relief work, care for the sick, the destitute, the aged and the handicapped and giving medical and educational programs through self-help projects in the Archdiocese of Manila; and

WHEREAS, the organization needs public support for the attainment of its objectives;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Caritas Manila to conduct an educational and fund campaign during the period from January 1 to December 31, 1983.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
