PROCLAMATION NO. 2457
EXTENDING THE NATIONWIDE EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE PHILIPPINE CONSTITUTION ASSOCIATION (PHILCONSA) FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR
WHEREAS, the PHILCONSA was authorized under Proclamation No. 2329, dated 17 January 1984 to conduct a national educational and fund drive for a period of one year from January 17, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the PHILCONSA needs more time to realize its laudable objectives;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the PHILCONSA to conduct a nationwide educational and fund campaign for a period of one (1) year from the issuance of this proclamation.
I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to participate actively and give generously of their means to this laudable undertaking.
All contributions or donations to the PHILCONSA during this fund drive shall be exempt from income and other forms of taxes and shall constitute as allowable deductions in full for income tax purposes of the contributors or donors.
