AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION TO CONDUCT A NATIONWIDE FUND CAMPAIGN FOR THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 1, 1985 TO MAY 31, 1986
WHEREAS, swimming is one of the major sports in the Philippines where we have excelled in international competitions;
WHEREAS, the Philippine Amateur Swimming Association (PASA) has produced countless amateur athletes who have contributed to the glory of our country in the sporting world; and
WHEREAS, aside from its training program for national swimmers which is being supported by Project Gintong Alay, there is need to maintain a sustained support to its age-group and country-wide development programs; casia
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Amateur Swimming Association to conduct a nationwide fund campaign during the period from June 1, 1985 to May 31, 1986.
The public and private sectors, particularly the business community, are hereby enjoined and encouraged to support and participate actively in this campaign and to extend such assistance as may be necessary for the successful implementation of the age-group and national development programs of PASA.
All donations and financial assistance obtained from this fund campaign shall be considered allowable deduction for income tax purposes.
