PROCLAMATION NO. 2311

AUTHORIZING THE CHILDREN'S WELFARE FUND, INC. TO CONDUCT A SERIES OF EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN PROJECTS DURING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 1983 TO AUGUST 31, 1984

WHEREAS, the Children's Welfare Fund, Inc. is a private non-sectarian, non-profit, civic, charity and welfare organization which aims to focus public concern and attention as well as raise funds to support developmental programs for the mental, physical and spiritual welfare of the Filipino children; cd

WHEREAS, the indispensability of these requirements for the total development of a growing child has been recognized by all sectors of our society, and therefore, is a collective responsibility of our people; and

WHEREAS, this concern for the future leaders of our country is as much a responsibility of government as well as the private sector;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Children's Welfare Fund, Inc. to conduct and promote a series of educational and fund campaign projects during the period September 1, 1983 to August 31, 1984. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, including government officials, officers, and employees, irrespective of nationality or creed, to lend a helping hand and assist in this drive by giving generously of their means, so that we may help in the effective implementation and actual realization of the very laudable objectives of the Children's Welfare Fund, Inc. cd i
