PROCLAMATION NO. 2203

AUTHORIZING THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM AND LIBRARY, INC. FOUNDATION TO CONDUCT ITS ANNUAL NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 1, 1982 TO MAY 31, 1983

WHEREAS, the promotion of the well-being of our children and their development into good and useful citizens and enlightened leaders of our country are of vital concern to society and all efforts should be exerted in that direction; aisa dc

WHEREAS, civic projects for the development of the latent capabilities of our youth and the provision of proper facilities for such development should be encouraged;

WHEREAS, the Children's Museum and Library, Inc. foundation, a non-stock, non-profit civic foundation, is carrying out a program with objectives geared to these ends; and

WHEREAS, only the unqualified moral and financial support of the entire nation can boost the coordinated efforts of the government and the Children's Museum and Library, Inc. Foundation for the moral development of the children and youth.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Children's Museum and Library, Inc. Foundation to conduct a national educational, membership and fund campaign during the period from June 1, 1982 to May 31, 1983.

I call upon all citizens, residents, regardless of nationality or creed, business firms, civic, religious and educational institutions to support actively and give generously of their means to the CMLI Foundation's cause for the welfare and development of the children and youth of the country. cdt

It is hereby reiterated that all donations or contributions to the Children's Museum and Library, Inc. Foundation shall constitute allowable deductions in full from the income of the donors and contributions for income tax purposes.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
