PROCLAMATION NO. 2267
DECLARING THE PERIOD 14-18 FEBRUARY 1983 AS "SHELTER CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK"
WHEREAS, the Ministry of Human Settlements has launched a massive information campaign for 1983 to generate greater interest and awareness in its various programs and projects;
WHEREAS, the National Shelter Program as one of the critical programs of the Ministry of Human Settlements has launched a ten-year target of providing 100,000 housing starts annually in order to meet the ever increasing housing requirements of our people; cd
WHEREAS, active private sector participation is vital in the success of the National Shelter Program;
WHEREAS, there is a need to instill awareness and create understanding of the National Shelter Program so as to generate active private sector participation;
NOW, THEREFORE, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby declare 14-18 February as NATIONAL SHELTER CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK and hereby direct the Ministry of Human Settlements to undertake all such measures that may be necessary to ensure the successful observance thereof and enjoin all sectors of society and all levels of the government to extend their cooperation.
