PROCLAMATION NO. 2261
DECLARING SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 1983, AS "LIBERATION DAY" IN BIÑAN, LAGUNA
WHEREAS, Saturday, February 5, 1983, marks the date when the Municipality of Biñan, Province of Laguna, was liberated from the Japanese Imperial Army; and
WHEREAS, the people of that municipality should be given full opportunity to celebrate this occasion with fitting ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, February 5, 1983, as "Liberation Day" in Biñan, Laguna.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 28th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Three.
