GPPB RESOLUTION NO. 29-07

COMMENDING THE EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE OF MS. LORRAINE C. SANCHEZ, MEMBER, INTER-AGENCY TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP-GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT POLICY BOARD

WHEREAS, upon the motion of Assistant Secretary Lamberto Sillona of the Department of National Defense, during the 8th Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) Meeting held last 26 October 2007, the GPPB unanimously agreed to issue a resolution commending the performance of MS. LORRAINE C. SANCHEZ, designated representative of the Department of Finance to the Inter-Agency Technical Working Group (IATWG) of the GPPB, on the occasion of her untimely death; AcSHCD

WHEREAS, MS. LORRAINE C. SANCHEZ, had distinguished herself by meritorious service and exemplary performance, particularly on her pro-active stance in the advancement of procurement reform initiatives while serving as a member of the GPPB-IATWG;

WHEREAS, as a member of the GPPB-IATWG, she was always ready to make decisions and accept additional responsibilities in keeping with the highest traditions of government service, thereby contributing to the success of the GPPB-IATWG and the procurement reform as a whole;

WHEREAS, her personal manifestation of outstanding dedication, devotion, untiring efforts and laudable achievements on numerous tasks is a tribute to herself and an example for others to follow;

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing, WE, the Members of the GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT POLICY BOARD, by virtue of the powers vested on US by law, hereby RESOLVE to confirm, adopt and approve, as WE hereby confirm, adopt and approve, this Resolution commending MS. LORRAINE C. SANCHEZ, of the Department of Finance, for her contributions to the advancement of the procurement reform program during her service as a member of the GPPB-IATWG.

This resolution shall take effect immediately.
