The Board in subject Resolution dated 20 May 1991, approved a temporary ten percent (10%)-increase in fees and charges it collects from the performance of its functions.
The full text of said Resolution is as follows:
Resolution No. R-486
APPROVING AN INTERIM INCREASE IN THE SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES OF THE BOARD
"WHEREAS, this Board has adopted a schedule of fees collected by it in the performance of its functions pursuant to Section 3(n) and 11 of E.O. 648 as amended by E.O. 90.
"WHEREAS, there is a need to increase the above stated schedule of fees which was approved on November 15, 1984 in order for this Board to increase its level of recovery of cost of expenses at the same time socialize the rates for the benefit of the less privileged clientele of this Board.
"WHEREAS, pending a thorough review and study of the increase to be made, it is necessary to effect an interim increase of ten percent (10%) of the present rate.
"WHEREFORE, be it resolved as it is hereby resolved to approve a temporary ten percent (10%) increase in fees to be collected by this Board in the performance of its functions, the same to be effective immediately.
"APPROVED, this 20th day of May 1991 at Quezon City."
With the publication of said Resolution in the Manila Bulletin issue of 18 September 1991, the increase in fees and charges takes effect on 07 October 1991.
