GENERAL ORDER NO. 8
AWARDING, POSTHUMOUSLY, TO CAPTAIN JULIAN OLIVAS, PHILIPPINE CONSTABULARY, THE DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT STAR OF THE PHILIPPINES
For conspicuous courage and gallantry in the face of imminent danger to his life, the Distinguished Conduct Star of the Philippines is hereby awarded posthumously, to Captain Julian Olivas, Philippine Constabulary. For twenty-two years, he devoted himself unstintedly to the service of his country, performing his duties cheerfully, efficiently and loyally to the moment that, as Provincial Inspector, Pampanga, he responded promptly and courageously to the call of duty that led to his untimely death. His career as a soldier of the Philippines exemplified the best traditions of the great organization to which he belonged, and lives as an inspiration to the Army and to every public-spirited citizen.
