MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 169

AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE 35TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE CAREER EXECUTIVE SERVICE BOARD (CESB)

The Career Executive Service Board (CESB) marks its 35th anniversary this November 2008, with the theme, "Serbisyong CESO: "Pamumunong Tapat at Wasto para sa Progreso". SEHTIc

All government agencies are encouraged to display banners/streamers following the attached design and specifications bearing the theme of the celebration.

As the theme for this month-long celebration underscores the value of an ideal and faithful service by senior civil servants in furtherance of progress, all Career Executive Service Officers (CESOs), CES Eligibles, and officials in the Career Executive Service (CES) are enjoined to actively participate in the following activities:

All heads of government agencies, departments, bureaus and offices, including government-owned and/or controlled corporations and their subsidiaries/units, and state universities and colleges shall authorize their respective officials and employees to attend and participate in the CES anniversary events on official time. Expenses to be incurred by these officials and employees shall be allowed at prescribed rates in accordance with existing policies by the DBM and COA chargeable against the funds of the sending agencies/offices and subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules.
