MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 182

AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE 2009 ANNUAL CAREER EXECUTIVE SERVICE NATIONAL CONFERENCE

The Career Executive Service Board (CESB) in partnership with the National Union of Career Executive Service Officers (NUCESO) will hold the 2009 Annual Career Executive Service (CES) National Conference on November 10-13, 2009 in Iloilo City. This year's annual conference theme is "From BAC to Basics of Strategic Management: Meeting CES Leadership Challenges".

The annual CES conference provides a platform for discussing critical issues of common concern, renewing ties and linkages, sharing and learning from best practice experiences, ideas and inspiring stories among the members of the CES.

The conference will consist of plenary sessions and multi-track learning seminars to impart relevant frameworks, fundamental tools, systems and innovative ideas for enhancing CESO performance and effectiveness on the job. A number of special events will also be staged within the Conference program which shall include the Annual Testimonial Dinner. LLjur

The conference fee is P7,500.00 per participant, inclusive of hotel accommodation, meals and conference materials. Conference participants may charge said fee and their travel expenses against the funds of their respective agencies in accordance with the existing policies by the Department of Budget and Management and Commission on Audit. Since the conduct of this conference is considered a core function of the CESB, the same is not subject to the provisions of Administrative Order No. 103 dated August 31, 2004.

All heads of government agencies, departments, bureaus and offices, including government-owned and/or controlled corporations and their subsidiaries/units, and state universities and colleges shall authorize their respective officials and employees to attend and participate in the 2009 Annual CES National Conference on official business.
