Application for Survivorship Pension Benefits under R.A. 9946 of Mrs. Rosa Maria L. Filler, Wife of the Late CTA Presiding Judge Amante A. Filler
On January 17, 2012, the Philippine Court en banc approved Mrs. Rosa Maria L. Filler's application for survivorship pension benefits under Republic Act No. 9946, following the passing of her husband, former CTA Presiding Judge Amante A. Filler. The benefits will take effect from February 11, 2010, in accordance with the Act's provisions and subject to certain conditions and fund availability. Additionally, the Court granted CTA Presiding Justice Ernesto D. Acosta permission to utilize P2,349,020.00 from the fiscal autonomy account to cover survivorship pension benefit claims for 2011.

Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court en banc issued a Resolution dated January 17, 2012, which reads as follows: aHSTID
"A.M. No. 14156-Ret. (Re: Application for Survivorship Pension Benefits under R.A. 9946 of Mrs. Rosa Maria L. Filler, Wife of the Late CTA Presiding Judge Amante A. Filler). — The Court Resolved to APPROVE the application for survivorship pension benefits under Republic Act No. 9946 of Mrs. Rosa Maria L. Filler, wife of the late CTA Presiding Judge Amante A. Filler, effective upon the effectivity of said Act on February 11, 2010, subject to the prohibitions/conditions enumerated in the last paragraph of Section 1 of said Act and to the availability of funds.
The Court further Resolved to APPROVE the request of CTA Presiding Justice Ernesto D. Acosta for authority to use the savings from the fiscal autonomy account of the CTA in the amount of P2,349,020.00 to fund survivorship pension benefit claims for the year 2011."
