An Act to Designate the Date for the Opening of the Annual Sessions of the Philippine Legislature
Act No. 3125, approved on February 28, 1924, establishes July 16 as the official start date for the annual sessions of the Philippine Legislature. If July 16 falls on a legal holiday, the sessions will commence on the next non-holiday. The Act also repeals any conflicting laws and takes effect upon approval.

ACT NO. 3125
AN ACT TO DESIGNATE THE DATE FOR THE OPENING OF THE ANNUAL SESSIONS OF THE PHILIPPINE LEGISLATURE
SECTION 1. The Legislature shall hold annual sessions beginning on the sixteenth day of July of each year, or if said sixteenth of July be a legal holiday, on the first day thereafter which is not a legal holiday.
SECTION 2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
