An Act Fixing the Date on Which the Annual Sessions of the Philippine Legislature Shall Commence
Act No. 2114, enacted on February 1, 1912, establishes that the annual sessions of the Philippine Legislature will begin on October 16 each year. If October 16 falls on a legal holiday, the session will commence on the next non-holiday. This act repeals a previous law (Act No. 1929) that had set a different date for the commencement of the sessions. The act took effect immediately upon its passage, emphasizing the need for prompt implementation.
