CHED MEMORANDUM FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CHAIRPERSON

| SUBJECT | : | Call for Proposals for the Grant of Assistance to SUCs to Combat Covid-19 |
State universities and colleges are invited to submit project proposals for the grant of assistance to SUCs to combat COVID 19.
Proposed projects must be completed within 2 to 3 months from the date of release of the grant and should fall under any or a combination of the following categories:
1. Manufacturing of products listed in Annex B of GPPB Resolution No. 3-2020 dated 9 March 2020, except for drugs/medicines, as evidenced by the involvement of licensed chemists, pharmacists, and/or microbiologists in the team;
2. Preparation of food for consumption of DOH, AFP, PNP front liners and stranded students including marginalized communities only during the period of community quarantine;
3. Deployment of volunteers to assist healthcare front liners in contact tracing, databasing, and other similar services;
4. Other urgently needed equipment, expertise and capability to be determined by the Commission and/or the Inter-agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and/or the Chief Implementer against COVID 19.
The proposal including other documentary requirements must be submitted to [email protected] and copy furnished the Chairperson-designate of the SUC and the Office of Planning Research and Knowledge Management ([email protected]).
Enclosed are the Guidelines for the Grant of Assistance to State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to Combat COVID 19, project proposal template, project summary sheet, pro-forma Memorandum of Agreement and CHED Order No. 2, s. 2011 on the allowable honoraria rates for CHED-funded projects, and GPPB Resolution No. 3, s. 2020 for reference.
