Health care workers and health facilities have been on the frontlines of combating the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) even before R.A. No. 11469, Bayanihan to Heal as One Act came into full effect. The Department of Health has endeavored to continuously provide standards and guidance to ensure infection prevention and control measures and patient navigation within facilities and through their health care provider networks (HCPN). Consistent with the provisions under A.O. No. 2008-0006, Integrating Replication Strategies in the DOH Operations, the DOH hereby calls for documentation and submission of innovative practices among the health care facilities and HCPNs in the response to COVID-19.
The activity intends to recognize the innovation, creativity and adaptability of facilities and networks, allowing for timely responses to the needs brought about by COVID-19's challenges and in consideration of preparedness for future pandemic events.
All submissions will be subjected to review and evaluation to be coordinated by Health Facility Development Bureau (HFDB), then the DOH shall facilitate the appropriate venue to share selected innovative practices with partners in the COVID-19 response. Output developed from submissions shall be used in the publication of a Compendium of Innovative Practices in Health Facilities Relative to COVID-19 Response.
