AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 507 DATED OCTOBER 21, 1932 WHICH RESERVED CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN JAGOBIAO, MANDAUE CITY, CEBU AS ADDITIONAL LEPROSARIUM SITE FOR THE EVERSLEY CHILDS TREATMENT STATION, BY EXCLUDING PORTIONS THEREOF AND DECLARING THE SAME FOR URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIALIZED HOUSING SITE PURPOSES IN FAVOR OF QUALIFIED BENEFICIARIES UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7279 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT HOUSING ACT

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 507 dated October 21, 1932 which reserved certain parcels of land in Jagobiao, Mandaue City, Cebu as additional leprosarium site for the Eversley Childs Treatment Station, by excluding portions thereof and reserving the same for Urban Development and Socialized Housing Site purposes in favor of the qualified beneficiaries under the provisions of Republic Act No. 7279 otherwise known as the Urban Development Housing Act, subject to final ground survey and private rights, if any there be, situated in Brgy. Jagobiao, City of Mandaue, Cebu, which parcels of land are described as follows: EAISDH

The Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources is hereby authorized to issue the corresponding Special Patent in favor of the National Housing Authority (NHA).

NHA shall reimburse the national government, through the DENR, the value of the land after the final payment of the areas reserved for housing purposes by qualified beneficiaries in accordance with the appraised value of the land as determined by the DENR.

Portions of the land that are being used or earmarked for public or quasi-public purposes shall be excluded from disposition.
