PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1552

TRANSFERRING TO THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF TAWI-TAWI CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE BARRIO OF TUBIG BOH, MUNICIPALITY OF BONGAO, PROVINCE OF TAWI-TAWI

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Tawi-Tawi has felt the need to extend the facilities of its housing project to provincial as well as national government employees, former rebels who have returned to the Government fold and citizens who have no homes of their own; aisa dc

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Tawi-Tawi is in urgent need of an expansion site of its housing project to accommodate the necessary housing units needed for the purposes for which the housing project was envisioned;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Tawi-Tawi deserves the government's attention and support in the form of land grants.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree:

SECTION 1.  Certain parcels of land identified as Lot No. 924-A, CSD-09-06-000506-D, Lot No. 923-A- CSD-09-06-000505-D and the area surveyed under SWO- 09-06-000005-D and situated in the Barrio of Tubig Boh, Municipality of Bongao, Province of Tawi-Tawi, containing an aggregate area of 15,000 hectares are hereby granted, ceded and transferred in full ownership to the Provincial Government of Tawi-Tawi for housing project purposes, subject to existing private rights, if any there be which parcels of lands are hereby more particularly described as follows:

SECTION 2.  The parcels of land herein granted shall be used exclusively for housing projects purposes and shall not be encumbered, alienated of transferred except in favor of persons, corporations or associations qualified to acquire public lands and with the approval of the President of the Philippines.

SECTION 3.  The Register of Deeds concerned shall register the above-described parcels of land and issue the corresponding certificate of title to the Provincial Government of Tawi-Tawi.

SECTION 4.  This Decree shall take effect immediately.
