SUPREME COURT OFFICE ORDER NO. 13-13
In the aftermath of several recent-major catastrophes capped by the supertyphoon Yolanda which hit the devastated parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, our judges and court personnel in the affected areas need all the support and assistance.
In view of the foregoing the following shall be undertaken:
1) Upon the recommendation of the Court Administrator, all judges and court personnel in the provinces of Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Western Samar, Leyte, Cebu, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan and Palawan are hereby GRANTED a Calamity Leave of two (2) weeks starting 11 November 2013 until 25 November 2013;
2) The Executive Judges and the Judges of single sala courts in all affected areas are hereby REQUIRED to submit their respective status reports on the condition of their court personnel, halls of justice and court houses as soon as possible;
3) The Fiscal Management and Budget Office and the Financial Management office, Office of the Court Administrator, are hereby ORDERED to process for advanced release the salaries until 30 November 2013 and the allowances and benefits that may already be released of all judges and court personnel in the provinces of Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Western Samar, Leyte, Cebu, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Palawan, Bohol, and Zamboanga and immediately release the same; and ESDcIA
4) The Court Administrator and the Deputy Court Administrators assigned in the affected areas are DIRECTED to closely monitor their respective areas of assignment with the view to propose further remedial measures to address the urgent needs of the judges and court personnel.
