DECLARING SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MALVAR, PROVINCE OF BATANGAS

WHEREAS, Saturday, September 27, 2008, marks the 143rd birth anniversary of General Miguel Malvar, the last general of the Philippine Revolution to surrender to the Americans; DcaSIH

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Malvar, Province of Batangas, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Saturday, September 27, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Malvar, Province of Batangas.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
