GAB BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 05-99
ADOPTING A WBO RULE AND BE PART OF THE GAB BOXING POLICY THAT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE BASIC RULE ON WHETHER TO ALLOW OR NOT TO ALLOW THE SCHEDULED WORLD BOXING ORGANIZATION (WBO) FIGHT/S IS WITHIN THE APPROVING AUTHORITY OF THE GAMES AND AMUSEMENTS BOARD
WHEREAS, pursuant to Executive Order No. 459, authorizing the Head of the Agency to approve or disapprove a request for an authority to travel abroad in an official capacity, approved the travel authority of Hon. Angel P. Bautista, Commissioner for Operations, during its 18th Regular Meeting of the Board on September 22, 2005, to attend in the forthcoming 18th Annual Convention of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) to be held at the Luxur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada from October 23, 2005 to October 28, 2005;
WHEREAS, during the convention, one of the issues discussed and adopted as a WBO rule is the implementation of the basic rule concerning the scheduled fight/s on whether to allow or not to allow the WBO sanctioned scheduled fight/s, is within the approved endorsement/approval of the Board of Directors or Chairman of the Member-Nations of the concerned boxer/s.
Now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to ADOPT as it is hereby ADOPTED a WBO rule and be part of the GAB boxing policy that the implementation of the basic rule on whether to allow or not to allow the scheduled WBO fight/s which will be held in the Philippines is within the approving authority of the Games and Amusements Board.
RESOLVED further that copy of this Resolution be furnished all parties concerned. SATDHE
SO RESOLVED.
