GAB RESOLUTION NO. 09-18
APPROVING THE RULES, REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS OF THE PHILIPPINE YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS
QUOTED hereunder is the Resolution adopted by the Board during its 4th Regular Meeting for CY 2018 held on May 25, 2018, to wit: TAacHE
WHEREAS, after consultation with Members of the Boxers Monthly Ratings Committee of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB), the Board approves to include and recognize Philippine Youth Championship in the boxing industry;
WHEREAS, there is a need to approve rules, requirements and regulations of the Philippine Youth Championships;
Now, therefore, be it RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED to APPROVE as it is hereby APPROVED the following rules, requirements and regulations of the Philippine Youth Championships, to wit:
1. AGE LIMIT — 18 to 23 years and eleven (11) months on the day of the fight
Documentation: Birth Certificate issued by Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
2. WHO SHOULD BE QUALIFIED: A boxer is qualified in any of the following:
(a) Two (2) 8 rounds winning fights, at least seven (7) professional fights; or
(b) Olympic medalist or contenders with one (1) eight (8) round fight; (Documentation: ABAP amateur records or red book; or
(c) Amateur champions recognized by the ABAP with at least two (2) winning fights against a skilled contender with at least one (1) eight (8) round professional fight. HDICSa

3. CHAMPIONSHIP RULES:
a) Standard ten (10) rounds. Contenders will be determined by the GAB Boxing Division and subject for approval by the Board.
b) RP Championship belts will be given to each champion.
c) When the champion reaches the age of 23 years old, he may be allowed to defend his title one (1) time. However, in case that the champion successfully defends the title and won, he shall relinquish the title before he reach the age of 24. The title will be declared vacant.
SO RESOLVED.
