PROCLAMATION NO. 2253
AUTHORIZING TAMARAW MUTUAL BENEFIT ASSOCIATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATION AND FUND CAMPAIGN FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 1982 TO AUGUST 31, 1983
WHEREAS, Tamaraw Mutual Benefit Association, Inc., is a non-profit, civic organization whose objectives are geared toward the development of good and useful citizens and enlightened leaders of the community;
WHEREAS, the organization needs the support of the public to enable it to accomplish its objectives;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize Tamaraw Mutual Benefit Association, Inc., to conduct a national educational and fund campaign during the period from September 1, 1982 to August 31, 1983.
I call upon all citizens, residents regardless of nationality or creed, business firms, civic, religious, government, and educational institutions to support actively, and give generously of their means to this laudable undertakings.
All donations and contributions to Tamaraw Mutual Benefit Association, Inc., shall be exempt from income taxes, gift taxes, customs duties, and other taxes due thereon and the same shall constitute allowable deductions in full from the income of the donors and contributors for income tax purposes.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
