Establishment of a Municipal Hospital in Tongkil, Sulu
Batas Pambansa Blg. 349, enacted on March 19, 1983, establishes the Tongkil Municipal Hospital in the Municipality of Tongkil, Province of Sulu, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The hospital will have a capacity of ten beds and is to be located in the poblacion of Tongkil. Funding for its construction and operation, not exceeding 750,000 pesos, will come from existing appropriations for new or expanded hospitals, with ongoing operational costs covered by the annual General Appropriations Act. The law took effect upon approval and was published in the Official Gazette on January 2, 1984.

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TONGKIL, PROVINCE OF SULU, TO BE KNOWN AS TONGKIL MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the direct supervision of the Office of the Minister, Ministry of Health, a ten-bed municipal hospital in the Municipality of Tongkil, Province of Sulu, to be known as Tongkil Municipal Hospital. The hospital shall be located at the poblacion of the said municipality.
SECTION 2. The amount necessary for the construction and operation of the hospital not to exceed seven hundred fifty thousand pesos shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Health intended for new or expanded hospitals. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
