PROCLAMATION NO. 1907
DECLARING THE PERIOD OF OCTOBER 1 TO 9, 2009 AS "PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT WEEK"
WHEREAS, the Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), a non-partisan and non-stock organization, was established to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the production systems; CDESIA
WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding its 22nd National Convention on October 2, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila;
WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production and operations practitioners play in the development of the economy as well as in the manufacturing sector.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period of October 1 to 9, 2009 as "Production and Operations Management Week", under the auspices of the Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 5th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Nine.
