DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 23 TO 29, 2009 AS "CIVIL ENGINEERING WEEK"
WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE), will hold its 35th National Convention on November 26 to 28, 2009 at the CAP John Hay Trade and Cultural Center, Baguio City; CDTHSI
WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the importance of the civil engineering profession and highlight its role in nation building.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 23 to 29, 2009 as "Civil Engineering Week", under the auspices of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc.
I call upon all civil engineers and students to give the observance of the week their full support.
