Proclamation No. 1619, issued on September 9, 2008, declares the period from September 8 to 12, 2008, as "Production and Operations Management Week" in the Philippines. PROCLAMATION NO. 1619

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 8 TO 12, 2008, AS "PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT WEEK"

WHEREAS, the Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), a non-partisan and non-stock organization was established to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the production systems; SCaITA

WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding the 21st National Convention to be held at the Peninsula Manila Hotel, Makati City on September 11 and 12, 2008;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production and operations practitioners play in the development of the economy as well as in the manufacturing sector.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 8 to 12, 2008, as "Production and Operations Management Week", under the auspices of the Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
