PROCLAMATION NO. 2126
DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 15 TO 22, 1981 AS "FURNITURE DEVELOPMENT WEEK"
WHEREAS, the First ASEAN Furniture Show together with the Fifth ASEAN Federation of Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFFMA) Council Meeting will be held in the Philippines to be hosted by the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP);
WHEREAS, to insure the successful hosting of the First ASEAN Furniture Show and the Fifth Council Meeting of the ASEAN Federation of Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFFMA), there is a need to undertake activities designed to bring businessmen and industrialists of the member countries together to be a relevant and effective, developmental and promotional vehicle for expanding ASEAN trade and strengthening intra-regional cooperation with other countries of the world; and cd
WHEREAS, the success of these events will be another milestone in our country's effort to become a leading member of ASEAN and of the Third World;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare October 15 to 22, 1981 as "Furniture Development Week" in conjunction with the holding of the First ASEAN Furniture Show together with the Fifth Council Meeting of the ASEAN Federation of Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFFMA).
