ACT NO. 1756
AN ACT TO DECLARE OCTOBER FOURTEENTH, FIFTEENTH, AND SIXTEENTH OF THE YEAR NINETEEN HUNDRED AND SEVEN PUBLIC HOLIDAYS IN HONOR OF THE VISIT OF THE SECRETARY OF WAR AND THE FORMAL OPENING OF THE PHILIPPINE ASSEMBLY
WHEREAS, the Secretary of War will arrive on the fourteenth day of October at Manila for the purpose of formally opening the Philippine Assembly; and HTcADC
WHEREAS, the Philippine Assembly will be formally opened by the Secretary of War on the sixteenth of October, nineteen hundred and seven; and
WHEREAS, it is meet and proper that said days, and the fifteenth of October, nineteen hundred and seven, should be set apart as days of general rejoicing in honor of the visit of the Secretary of War and the formal opening of the Philippine-Assembly: Now, therefore,
SECTION 1. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth days of October, anno Domini nineteen hundred and seven, are hereby made public holidays.
SECTION 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
ENACTED, October 9, 1907.
