PROCLAMATION NO. 76
DECLARING TUESDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 2022, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF BORONGAN, PROVINCE OF EASTERN SAMAR
WHEREAS, Eugenio S. Daza, born in Borongan, Eastern Samar on 15 November 1870 was the overall commander of the revolutionary forces in Eastern Samar during the Philippine war against the United States, and represented the Third District of Samar in the Philippine Assembly from 1907 to 1909;
WHEREAS, on 15 November 2022, Tuesday, the City of Borongan, Province of Eastern Samar, will mark the birth anniversary of Eugenio S. Daza;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Borongan be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to the public health measures of the national government;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Tuesday, 15 November 2022, a special (non-working) day in the City of Borongan, Province of Eastern Samar.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 14th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Two.
