DECLARING TUESDAY, AUGUST 9, 2005, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE ENTIRE AUTONOMOUS REGION IN MUSLIM MINDANAO
WHEREAS, the elections in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) will be conducted on Monday, August 8, 2005;
WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 887 dated August 5, 2005 declared Monday, August 8, 2005, as Special (Non-Working) Day in the entire ARMM, and Monday and Tuesday, August 8-9, 2005, as Special (Non-Working) Days in all public schools in Cotabato City and all schools outside the ARMM duly designated by the COMELEC as counting and Canvassing venues for the ARMM Elections; DaScCH
WHEREAS, there is a need to declare August 9, 2005 as a special (non-working) day in the entire ARMM in order to cover possible spill-over counting/canvassing activities in some areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 9, 2005, as special (non-working) day in the entire Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). EaTCSA
