PROCLAMATION NO. 2227

DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 2, 1982, AS "BUTUAN CITY DAY"

WHEREAS, Monday, August 2, 1982, marks the 32nd Charter Anniversary of Butuan City; and

WHEREAS, the people of Butuan City should be given full opportunity to celebrate this occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, August 2, 1982, as "Butuan City Day"; however, the day shall be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 2nd day of August, the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Two.
