DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 9, 1982, AS ROQUE B. ABLAN, SR. DAY AND A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE AND IN THE CITY OF LAOAG
In commemoration of the birthday of the late Governor Roque B. Ablan, Sr. of Ilocos Norte, one of the outstanding resistance leaders during the last war who has displayed extraordinary courage against the enemy, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, August 9, 1982, as Roque B. Ablan, Sr. Day and a special non-working public holiday in the province of Ilocos Norte and in the City of Laoag.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
