PROCLAMATION NO. 2304
DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 19, 1983 AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF QUEZON AND THE CITY OF LUCENA
WHEREAS, the 105th birth anniversary of the late President Manuel Luis Quezon falls on Friday, August 19, 1983; and
WHEREAS, in honor of the late President Quezon for his invaluable contributions to the political emancipation of the Filipino people and the promotion of the national progress during his stewardship of the government, the people of the province of Quezon should be given full opportunity to celebrate his natal day with fitting ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, August 19, 1983, as a special non-working public holiday in the province of Quezon and the City of Lucena.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila. this 15th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Three.
