Creation of Barrio Bataan in Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte
Republic Act No. 1389, enacted on June 18, 1955, establishes the barrio of Bataan as an independent entity within the Municipality of Rizal, Province of Zamboanga del Norte. This new barrio is created by separating the sitio of Sibacan from the existing barrio of La Libertad. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette later that year.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1389
AN ACT CREATING THE BARRIO OF BATAAN, MUNICIPALITY OF RIZAL, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE
SECTION 1. The sitio of Sibacan in the barrio of La Libertad, Municipality of Rizal, Province of Zamboanga del Norte, is separated from the barrio of La Libertad, and constituted into an independent barrio of said municipality, to be known as the barrio of Bataan.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
