Funding of 100,000 pesos for its operation will come from existing appropriations, while the local government is responsible for its maintenance costs. AN ACT CONVERTING THE VICTORIAS HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF VICTORIAS, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE VICTORIAS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
SECTION 1. The Victorias High School in the Municipality of Victorias, Province of Negros Occidental, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Victorias National High School. The curriculum of said school shall include both academic and vocational courses. asia dc
SECTION 2. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports shall implement the provisions of this Act so as to make the said Victorias National High School in operation during the first school term following the approval of this Act. cd i
SECTION 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools: Provided, That the local government unit concerned shall continue to provide for its share in the cost of maintenance and operation of the school. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. cdt
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
