Conversion of Ramon Torres Memorial High School in Bago City, Negros Occidental Into a National High School
Batas Pambansa Blg. 411, enacted on June 10, 1983, converts the Ramon Torres Memorial High School in Bago City, Negros Occidental, into the Ramon Torres National High School. AN ACT CONVERTING THE RAMON TORRES MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF BAGO, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE RAMON TORRES NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
SECTION 1. The Ramon Torres Memorial High School in the City of Bago, Province of Negros Occidental, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Ramon Torres National High School. The curriculum of said school shall include both academic and vocational courses.
SECTION 2. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Bilang 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools and an additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of its share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before such conversion shall be released for its operation from the national assistance fund to local schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. cd
SECTION 3. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports shall implement the provisions of this Act so as to make the said Ramon Torres National High School in operation during the first school term following the approval of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
