PROCLAMATION NO. 2196
AUTHORIZING THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF WOMEN'S CLUBS OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT A NATIONWIDE FUND DRIVE DURING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 1982 TO JUNE 30, 1983
WHEREAS, the National Federation of Women's Clubs of the Philippines since 1905 has initiated many welfare projects that were in time adopted by the Government such as puericulture centers, nutrition education, adult education, community beautification, public playground and home industries;
WHEREAS, the Federation has planned to strengthen its one thousand two hundred clubs all over the Philippines to contribute effectively in socio-civic and socio-economic development of the Filipino families, and to help promote the welfare of the youth, the disabled, the sick and the elderly;
WHEREAS, the Federation deserves to have its material and organizational requirements and the services of staff personnel and field workers to carry out its planned activities and to participate in the livelihood programs of the government under the Kilusan sa Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran; and
WHEREAS, the Federation needs the continued support of the public to enable it to accomplish its charitable undertakings.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the National Federation of Women's Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. to conduct a nationwide fund drive from July 1, 1982 to June 30, 1983.
I hereby enjoin all citizens and residents of this country to give generously of their means to enable the Federation to succeed in its humanitarian endeavors. cdt
All funds generated by virtue of this Proclamation and all donations or contributions to the Federation shall be exempted from all forms of taxes and shall constitute allowable deductions in full for income tax purposes.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 25th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Two.
