PROCLAMATION NO. 2153

AUTHORIZING THE DR. JOSE P. RIZAL MEMORIAL FOUNDATION, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONWIDE FUND DRIVE FROM JANUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1982

WHEREAS, the Dr. Jose P. Rizal Memorial Foundation, Inc. has planned to establish a rehabilitation center at the Dr. Jose P. Rizal National Medical Research Center at Bagong Bayan, Dasmariñas, Cavite, to serve the disabled population in the resettlement area and neighboring towns;

WHEREAS, the Foundation needs the continued support of the public to enable it to accomplish its humanitarian undertakings;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Dr. Jose P. Rizal Memorial Foundation, Inc. to conduct a nationwide fund drive from January 1, to December 31, 1982.

I hereby enjoin all citizens and residents of this country to give generously of their means to enable the Foundation to succeed in all its humanitarian endeavors.

All donations or contributions to the Foundation shall be exempted from all forms of taxes and shall constitute allowable deductions in full for income tax purposes.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
