Republic Act No. 1309, enacted on June 16, 1955, appropriates funds from the National Treasury to compensate the children of deceased Representatives Lorenzo P. Ziga and Gregorio B. Tan, each receiving fifteen thousand four hundred eighty-one pesos and twenty-nine centavos. These compensations are exempt from all forms of taxation. The Act takes effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette in July 1955.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1309

AN ACT APPROPRIATING CERTAIN SUMS TO BE PAID AS COMPENSATION TO THE CHILDREN OF THE LATE REPRESENTATIVES LORENZO P. ZIGA AND GREGORIO B. TAN

SECTION 1. Out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of fifteen thousand four hundred eighty-one pesos and twenty-nine centavos is appropriated to be paid as compensation to the children of the late Representative Lorenzo P. Ziga, and the sum of fifteen thousand four hundred eighty-one pesos and twenty-nine centavos is appropriated to be paid as compensation to the children of the late Representative Gregorio B. Tan, both of whom died in line of duty. These amounts shall be exempt from all kinds of taxes.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. aisa dc
