Grant of Gratuity to Widow and Children of Rep. Juan M. Reyes
Republic Act No. 3347, enacted on June 18, 1961, grants a gratuity of fifteen thousand pesos to the widow and children of the late Representative Juan M. Reyes, who perished in the sinking of S.S. Corregidor in December 1941. The Act authorizes the appropriation of this amount from the National Treasury, exempting it from all forms of taxation. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3347
AN ACT GRANTING GRATUITY TO THE WIDOW AND CHILDREN OF THE LATE REPRESENTATIVE JUAN M. REYES AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
SECTION 1. The widow and children of the late Representative Juan M. Reyes who was among those who died in the sinking of S.S. Corregidor in December 1941 are hereby given a gratuity of fifteen thousand pesos.
SECTION 2. There is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of fifteen thousand pesos for the purpose indicated in the preceding section. Said amount shall be exempt from all kinds of taxes.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
