REPUBLIC ACT NO. 974
AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FOUR MILLION PESOS FOR THE CURRENT OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE THREE THOUSAND ADDITIONAL EXTENSION CLASSES ORGANIZED IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-THREE
SECTION 1. The sum of four million pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the three thousand additional elementary classes organized in October and November, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, up to the end of the current fiscal year: Provided, That the sum of three million six hundred thirty thousand two hundred pesos shall be expended for salaries and wages of teachers of such extension classes who shall not be paid without a previous joint certification under oath of the Division Superintendent of Schools and the corresponding supervising teachers certifying to the effect that the corresponding extension classes were constituted and are actually in operation, stating the dates when such extension classes were opened, the number of pupils in each when constituted and at the time of certification, and the names of teachers employed therein; and the balance for sundry expenses and/or textbooks. casia
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect during the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, Nineteen Hundred and Fifty-Four.
