REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5523
AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF THIRTY-EIGHT MILLION ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FORTY PESOS FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED EXTENSION CLASSES, INCLUDING CREATION OF POSITIONS OF GENERAL EDUCATION AND MUSIC SUPERVISORS, COMMUNITY ADULT EDUCATION SUPERVISORS, PUBLIC SCHOOLS DISTRICT SUPERVISORS, PRINCIPALS AND JANITORS
SECTION 1. The sum of thirty-eight million one hundred eighty-seven thousand nine hundred forty pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the following purposes:

SECTION 2. The appropriations herein provided shall be used exclusively solely to cover the fund requirements as may be determined by the municipal and city school boards which can not be covered by the shares of the municipalities and cities from the additional one per cent tax on real property imposed under Republic Act Numbered Five thousand four hundred forty-seven, otherwise known as the Special Education Fund Act, and by the stabilization fund of the national government under the same Act: Provided, That in the allocation of funds priority shall be given to municipalities and cities that can not finance their school needs taking into account the number of pupils of school age ready to be enrolled in such classes. aisa dc
SECTION 3. Said sums shall thereafter be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. acd
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
