Appropriation of Funds for Additional Elementary Classes

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2350

AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF EIGHT MILLION TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED FOUR PESOS FOR THE CURRENT OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY ADDITIONAL EXTENSION CLASSES ORGANIZED IN AUGUST AND NOVEMBER, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-EIGHT

SECTION 1. The sum of eight million two hundred thirty-eight thousand three hundred four pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the three thousand five hundred twenty additional elementary classes organized in August and November, nineteen hundred and fifty-eight, up to the end of the current fiscal year, in the following manner and form:

Salaries of 3,500 elementary grades teachers,
	at P1,920 per annum for eleven (11)
	months	P6,160,000
Salaries of 20 elementary grades teachers,
	at P1,920 per annum for eight
	(8) months	25,600
Life insurance premiums, government
	share, at three per centum of salary	185,568
Retirement insurance premiums, government
	share, at six per centum of salary	371,136
For the purchase of textbooks, at P225
	per class	792,000
For the purchase of furniture and equipment,
	at P200 per class	704,000

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
