An Act Authorizing an Additional Appropriation of One Hundred Thousand Pesos as Aid for the Establishment of New Elementary Classes
Act No. 4213, approved on August 3, 1935, allocates an additional 100,000 pesos from the Insular Treasury to support the salaries of teachers for new elementary classes in the Philippines. The distribution of these funds will be managed by the Director of Education, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Public Instruction, with specific conditions regarding the eligibility of municipalities and cities for funding. Notably, any unspent amounts cannot be transferred to the Teachers' Pension and Disability Fund. The Act emphasizes that new classes can only be established if the localities meet certain attendance and infrastructure requirements.
